Membership Information

Thank you for your interest in joining Peterborough Pickleball Association (PPA)! We would love to add you to our growing list of Pickleball players from all across the city and county!

By becoming a member of PPA you support a group of dedicated volunteers who continuously try to provide players with an amazing local pickleball experience, and whose purpose is to develop pickleball initiatives in the City of Peterborough. You’ll be helping the growth and development of pickleball for yourself and others in our neighbourhoods.

A strong Association will provide opportunities and leverage in accessing indoor and outdoor locations to play Pickleball.

 Why become a Member?

• It’s an opportunity to expand your social circle and get connected with other fun, active fellow ‘Pickleballers’ who are passionate about the sport, and play at both recreational and competitive levels.
• To support advocacy for repair and resurfacing of existing Pickleball courts, as well as building new Pickleball court sites so the number of outdoor places to play continues to grow along with our sport.
• To allow you to take part in our Learn & Play events, Paid Clinics, Tournaments and other fun and social events held throughout the year.
• To give pickleball a presence and voice in Peterborough, much like other associations do for their sport.
• To help guide the growth of Pickleball in Peterborough and surrounding communities. 
• To support dedicated volunteers who contribute countless hours to book and arrange levelled play, referee our tournaments, and to keep member players up to date on current Pickleball events and news.
• You will become part of the collective Peterborough Pickleball Associations’ voice in our community to help advocate for all things Pickleball within the City of Peterborough. We need a critical mass to lobby the City and continue to move our vision forward.

Your $20.00 annual membership fee includes:

• Use of equipment (nets and balls) at Bonnerworth Park
• Access to Learn to Play lessons for new members
• Access to weekly organized play such as Ladder and Round Robin Leagues - schedule of play organized into Novice, Intermediate and Advanced.

In order to play in our programs you also need to join Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Ontario. 

To become a member, go to the Pickleball Canada Website. Select Ontario from the provinces drop down menu and then select the Peterborough Pickleball Association. The cost for joining the Peterborough Association is $20. You will need to create an account first and complete a release of liability. 

The total cost for all three associations is $41.12.

If you have already paid $20 for the Peterborough Pickleball Association, you will simply need to join Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Ontario to participate in our organized play. Please don't pay the $20 twice!

If you would prefer to support the work of the PPA without joining our programs, you can eTransfer your $20 membership fee to peterboroughpickleball@gmail.com. If you choose this option, please also send your name, address and phone number to the same email address (peterboroughpickleball@gmail.com) for our membership records.
