On August 27 and 28, 2022 the Peterborough Pickleball Association held it’s first annual Summer Smash Tournament and what a weekend it was! There were 191 registered participants that came from all over Ontario to compete in our local tournament. There were 16 categories with 96 medal winners over the 2 days of the competition. In addition to the matches, the participants enjoyed baked goods and won thousands of dollars in donated gifts from local businesses in the community. Congratulations to the grand prize winner Jo-Ann Walsh who won a $1000 gift certificate from Leon’s in Peterborough – one of our primary sponsors!

Many thanks to our Tournament Director Robbie Brooks who ensured that the tournament ran smoothly and the events went off without a hitch! We would also like to thank all of our volunteers who helped to set up, taped lines, sold baked goods and raffle tickets, among many other tasks required to ensure all participants enjoyed the weekend!
