Where to play in Peterborough, Ontario

The Peterborough Pickleball Association is offering program play in 2026 via the website Pickle Leagues (pickleleagues.pro). Programming is held at the new 14 outdoor courts at Bonnerworth Park.

There are other locations in the region that offer scheduled times for different levels of play . 

Bonnerworth Park

Bonnerworth Park features 14 newly built outdoor pickleball courts—one of the largest dedicated facilities in the region—with permanent lines and lighting for evening play. On-site parking and washrooms are available, and the courts are supported by the Peterborough Pickleball Association, welcoming players of all ages and skill levels. A great spot for both casual play and organized programming throughout the season.

Pickle & Pin

Pickle & Pin is Peterborough's premier indoor pickleball facility, featuring four spacious, professional-grade courts with cushioned acrylic surfaces that deliver a true hard-court feel while reducing impact on players' joints. The all-season club is built for players of all levels, with custom-fitted non-glare sport lighting, high-performance nets, and 24-foot ceilings. paddle Club 74

Paddle Club 74 is Lindsay's premier indoor pickleball facility, featuring four tournament-grade CushionX courts with LED sport lighting, pro-grade nets, and 28-foot ceilings. This locally owned, family-run club is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., offering everything from learn-to-play sessions and clinics to levelled open play, ladder leagues, and tournaments. pickleplex

Coming soon, Pickleplex is a 100% Canadian-owned social pickleball club that brings its community-focused "pickleball is the new way to party" vibe to Peterborough. The club will offer something for everyone, with programs spanning beginner sessions and First Timer Fridays, skilled and open play, leagues and tournaments, lessons and coaching, and junior and youth camps. Flexible membership options are planned, from unlimited play to off-peak and pay-as-you-go hourly drop-in, all managed through the CourtReserve platform. The space will also be available for corporate events and private parties.

YMCA

The Balsillie Family YMCA is one of Peterborough's most popular indoor pickleball spots, offering courts with permanent lines and portable nets in a welcoming community setting. The Y runs both drop-in open play and registered programs throughout the week, with sessions split by skill level so recreational and competitive players each have dedicated times. Learn-to-Play programs are available for those new to the sport, and play is open to both members and non-members for a daily fee. Courts are booked online, with multiple courts available per time slot.

Wellness Centre Peterborough

The Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre offers four indoor pickleball courts with permanent lines and portable nets, all available for reservation through the City of Peterborough. Open play sessions welcome a wide range of skill levels, from beginner through advanced, making it a flexible option for casual and more competitive players alike. As a City-run municipal facility, it provides a reliable, year-round indoor place to play. Courts can be booked online or by phone.

Trent University Sport Centre

Located in the heart of Trent's Peterborough campus, the Athletics Centre offers indoor pickleball as part of its drop-in gym programming, open to students, staff, alumni, and the wider Peterborough community. Play happens in the indoor gymnasium with permanent lines and portable nets, and access is included with a day pass or membership.

Robert E. Young Recreation Complex

The Robert E. Young Recreation Complex is Selwyn Township's largest recreation facility, offering free outdoor pickleball as part of a recently resurfaced sports court area. The pickleball lines share a tennis court, with the surface set up so that one tennis court can convert into as many as four pickleball courts. Portable nets are used, and there's no fee or membership required to play.

Lakefield Pickleball

The Douglas Sports Centre is a popular spot for outdoor pickleball in Lakefield, offering free public courts as part of a recently refurbished recreational area that also includes tennis and basketball courts. The courts have pickleball lines, and portable pickleball nets are available to set up for play. With no fees and no membership required, it's a welcoming, casual place to play in the warmer months.

Douro South PArk

Douro South Park offers free outdoor pickleball as part of a recently revitalized recreational area along the Indian River. The state-of-the-art court features permanent pickleball lines and a hard surface, with the playing area set up to rotate into as many as four pickleball courts. You'll need to bring your own portable net for play. On-site restrooms are available, and courts can also be booked through the Township for events or group play.

Maple Ridge Senior Centre

Mapleridge Recreation Centre is a welcoming activity club for adults 50 and over, offering indoor pickleball as one of its many social and wellness programs. The centre has two indoor courts with permanent lines and portable nets, and a membership is required to play.. Contact: (705) 742-1481

Activity Haven Senior Centre

Activity Haven is a non-profit recreation centre for adults 50 and over, offering indoor pickleball as part of its wide range of recreational, educational, and social programs. The centre has two indoor courts with permanent lines and portable nets, plus on-site restrooms. Membership is affordable and required to play, with a low yearly fee plus a small daily charge.
