On Sunday October 9, 2022, we tragically and suddenly lost one of our Peterborough Pickleball family members. Steve was a treasured friend, mentor, leader and partner to many of the Peterborough players, as well as countless others in Ontario. In reviewing the outpouring of love and messages from friends, family, co-workers and others, the common thread throughout described Steve as a friend ‘who was always willing to help’, a boss who ‘went above and beyond’, a man who ‘always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell’. Steve was kind, inclusive, funny, ambitious, passionate, and positive. Steve loved his boys and was so proud of them! Steve was introduced to Pickleball a few years ago, and it quickly became his passion. Steve became a student of the sport, took in everything he learned, and through this excelled at the game he loved. Our pickleball family has lost not only a valued member, but also a friend, and our family will forever miss his spirit (and his cooler of beverages we would often raid at tournaments)!

A Memorial Tournament is being planned and will be held sometime in the early 2023 Spring/Summer season.
