The Peterborough Pickleball Association (PPA) is a non-profit sports organization that provides programming, tournaments, and recreational opportunities for more than 400 members. The organization has been here in the community for over 10 years.
Beyond serving our membership, we are committed to promoting pickleball throughout the community and creating opportunities for people of all ages, skill levels, and abilities to participate in the sport.

In 2026/2027, we plan to expand our offerings beyond programming at the newly redeveloped Bonnerworth Park to include activities at various community facilities. Our plans include introductory clinics, one-day tournaments, team events, and outreach initiatives designed to introduce new players to the game.

In recent years, much of our focus has been on fundraising to support the development of the new pickleball courts. With that goal now achieved, our attention is turning toward growing the sport, increasing access to programming, and encouraging the next generation of pickleball players. Through partnerships, volunteer-led instruction, and community engagement, we hope to make pickleball an accessible and welcoming activity for everyone.

Our latest offering is to offer volunteer-led introductory pickleball sessions at schools, community facilities, or other locations where groups are interested in learning the game. We have paddles, balls, and, if needed, a portable net, along with experienced volunteers who can introduce participants to the basics of pickleball in a fun and welcoming environment. Whether it’s a school class, community group, seniors’ program, or other organization, we can help get people started and enjoy the game.

Time: 1 hour instruction with two pickleball instructors.

Price: Free of charge.

Location: At your school, facility, or at Bonnerworth Park in the 2027 summer season.
